Every single person, no matter the similarities in human behaviour, the similarities in thoughts, similarities in our habits, our circumstances – not a single person will experience lockdown in the same way. Because, you are UNIQUE!
Be angry. Be sad. Let the feeling of loss flow through you. Be agitated. Express yourself. Feel isolated. Be apprehensive. Feel alone, even if your home is filled with people. Experience animosity. Feel unstable because of fluctuating emotions. Be frustrated. You may feel misunderstood. It is possible that you could hurt those close to you with your words during this time, even if you did not intent to hurt. Perhaps you have decided to keep your distance from people for a while. No virtual chats, not messages, no calls. You may need space to understand yourself in this context. You may be surprised by some of your actions right now – you may feel that you don’t know yourself. You will feel the walls closing in on you. You may be bored. You may feel overwhelmed. You may have become complacent during this time. You may feel far from loved ones. Isolated. Alone.
While we use words to give expression to our feelings, YOUR EXPERIENCE is still unique.
No one else feels exactly what you feel, thinks exactly what you think.
We are exceptional, beautiful humans, not machines.
𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟲 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝘁!
Don’t measure yourself against anyone else during this time. Don't measure yourself against anyone, ever! It matters not whether you have ticked all your “productivity and action plan boxes” so far.
It matters not that you stepped outside the so-called boundaries of normality during this time.
You may want to give up. Please don’t give up. Look back at your life – you have survived so much more.
Turn back to your soul. Find peace in yourself. Know you have control over your thoughts, your feelings your actions. You are a magnificent human being, a unique creation beautifully crafted together in who YOU are.
Within your reach are opportunities, light and life.
CONTENTMENT. EXCITEMENT. PRIDE. SERENITY. FREEDON. ADMIRATION. APPRECIATION. JOY. FORGIVENESS. WORTHINESS. LOVE. EMPOWERMENT. STRENGTH. GRATITUDE. AWE. LIFE.
Embrace this lockdown. Make mistakes. Make it right.
Whatever you do, don't give up on others and don't give up on yourself.
