Going offline for a day...

Yesterday, I decided to take my life offline.

It’s now been more than 24 hours since I read the news, browsed the Internet or Facebook for the latest updates . . . I am happy to say, the world was still around this morning when I woke up.

It was a peaceful day, I was focused, I used the time to feed my mind. I searched my soul. Organised my thoughts and feelings. I walked on the grass and felt the energy from grass through my hands. I planted seedlings my neighbour left for me at my garden gate (thank you Reinette!). I exercised and worked out a sweat.

I felt life, I was conscious, I was alive.

This is day 4 of our lockdown in South Africa. Every day is brand new. We wake up to the gift of choices, opportunities, and even new nerve cells every single day. Those nerve cells can be trained. They will do whatever you train them to do.

Today, this is my wish for you - connect with yourself, use the gift this lockdown is giving us.
